happy new year - a recap.

Hey 2015!

The end of the year has finally creeped upon us. Do you ever stop to think about that actual year mark we are in? Two-THOUSAND and fifteen. 2015. Guys, that's a long time. So much happens in a year that it's almost hard to imagine it all fitting into that tiny time frame when it's finally come to the closing of it. We squeezed so much into 2014, that the running joke is that retirement is next!

2014, marked the year Talon and I got married. After a two year engagement, and a long standing agreement to be partners for life with or without a certificate, we did it. We legally bound ourselves to one another, and it was the most perfect celebration. February 3, 2014.

2014, marked the year Olivia was born. Our amazing, awesome little lady turned these two no goods into Momma & Dad, and I couldn't imagine it to be any other way. February 24, 2014.

2014, marked the year Talon joined forces with one of the largest audio companies in the world. It was a goal he'd been aiming to strike in a few years, and it was happening...now. February 2014.

2014, marked the year I left my job to become a stay at home mom. It was the easiest decision to make, and the hardest job I've ever taken. I'm so grateful I get to do this and I am looking forward to doing it as long as I can. April 2014.

2014, marked the year we became home owners. We had now become a family unit of THREE! It was time to ditch the roommate living and plant a root or two. So, the hunt began. The search was long, and after seeing just over 100 homes, we found our gem! July 4, 2014.

2014, marked the year of many accomplishments. It has been really good to us, which leads me to wonder what this new year will have in store for the Fausnaught fam. Olivia will be turning one soon, and that's the biggest thing on the radar for now. Let's just get through that first, amiright?

It's been a year of new adventures, friends lost and friends gained. It's been a year of finding oneself. 2014 has been trying, and pushed us to be everything we can be. It's been a year of NPR and Bulletproof coffee. It's been a year of silly faces and naked baby carpet roulette. It's been a year of appreciation and humbling experiences. It's been a year of home cooked meals and frugality. It's been a year of things new and foreign. It's been a year of obtaining goals and setting new ones. All in all, it's been amazing!

Now, I am not one to make resolutions, because who actually keeps them? But instead of resolutions, I'm going to make declarations for 2015. This year was so awesome I'm not sure this next one can top it, and I'm not sure what these declarations are just yet, but let's start with this:

2015 will be awesome.
