Time Goes By....7 Months Old

I am the mother of a 7 month old, awesome little lady. Where has the time gone? She was just born yesterday! Slow down love.

Actually, don't slow down. You keep going, keep growing, and keep learning. I love watching you play and discover. You are so thoughtful, smart, and curious. You are strong, determined, and willful. You are amazing.

Everyone marks the 6 month milestone, but it has been the journey from the 6 month to the 7th that has been amazing to watch. You have almost mastered sitting on your own (look at you sitting in that grocery cart! It was the first time I felt comfortable letting you do that, and you did it like a champ!). Everyone, watch out because you are rolling all over the place. And finally...you have discovered how to get up onto your knees. It doesn't last too long, and you're still wobbly, but you are getting the hang of it.

You can take the stackable rings off of their pole one by one. You have found my nose, and seem to understand when I ask you where it is. You have come to realize that when I step away, I am not near you and you don't like that. You protest for me to come back, and I always do. I always will. You've recognized me as your mother, without words and without the general needing of nuture that and infant is born with. You know who I am, you know who your dad is, that's simply outstanding!

We love you miss. We are so proud of you.

I cannot wait to see what the journey into your 8th month brings!
